Montagu's Harriers are rare birds in the UK and seeing one locally must be one of the highlights for any birder. This week one turned up at Seaton and not only stayed 24 hours for birders lucky enough to connect with it but it was even mobbed by a Red Kite at one point - itself not a common bird of prey in this area. What an amazing sight...

Dave Helliar did well to get any pics of this elusive bird - not easy to do with a bridge camera!
